2007 – A milestone year for PAD! Denfotex recorded 5 years of continuous clinical research on the application of Photo-Activated Disinfection in dentistry.
Since 2002, a clinical trial in Aberdeen involving Dr Stephen Bonsor, a leading endodontist, and the Department of Microbiology at the Royal Infirmary, has pursued a comprehensive program of clinical evaluation. More than 250 patients have been enrolled and highly satisfactory results have been published in the British Dental Journal. This program is ongoing with more patients being enrolled on a weekly basis.
By mid-2007 over 10,000 successful treatments had been carried out using PAD in general practice by UK Dentists alone.
