cleansing of canals e.g.
with sodium hypochlorite
or EDTA may remove
the bulk of the bacterial
load. However, bacterial
contamination of the dentine
wall and tubules will still
remain reducing successful
outcome and increasing
the possibility of repeated
periapical infection.
